When Tesla revealed its Cybertruck in 2019, the angular steel pickup shocked the auto industry with its radical design. Now the production version’s breaking records and turning heads on American roads.

The Cybertruck’s performance numbers are jaw-dropping. The top Beast variant rockets from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.9 seconds. That’s faster than most sports cars. This tri-motor setup pumps out 834 horsepower. The dual-motor AWD version still delivers 600 horsepower. Both versions can tow up to 11,000 pounds, matching traditional heavy-duty trucks.

The Beast variant rockets to 60 mph in 2.9 seconds with 834 horsepower and 11,000-pound towing capacity.

Tesla’s built this truck differently. The body’s made from ultra-durable stainless steel that resists scratches and dents. It doesn’t need paint. The truck features a glass roof and optional 20-inch wheels with massive 35-inch tires. The Foundation Series includes an off-road light bar for nighttime escapades. The stainless steel exoskeleton can withstand sledgehammer strikes without denting.

Inside, the Cybertruck keeps things simple. Six passengers can fit comfortably in the minimalist cabin. A huge 17-inch touchscreen controls most functions. Tesla’s latest Full Self-Driving technology comes built-in. The dashboard uses composite materials instead of traditional plastics. The spacious interior provides 41.1 inches of front legroom for maximum driver comfort.

The truck bed, which Tesla calls the “Vault,” measures 72.9 inches long. It can carry 2,500 pounds of payload. The Cybertruck comes standard with Class IV towing equipment, including a hitch and brake controller.

Range and charging matter for electric vehicles. The top variant promises up to 500 miles on a single charge. The 123 kWh liquid-cooled battery pack supports 250 kW DC fast charging. It uses the NACS charge port type and includes an 11.5 kW onboard charger for AC charging. However, towing heavy loads can reduce range significantly, with some experiencing up to two-thirds less efficiency depending on weight and conditions.

The suspension system’s equally advanced. Flexible air suspension adjusts ride height automatically. Double wishbone suspension with air springs sits at all four corners. Drivers can lock the front and rear differentials for serious off-roading.

Pricing starts around $50,000 for the base model. The AWD variant costs $79,990, while the Beast version reaches $101,985. The Foundation Series adds another $20,000. Buyers might qualify for up to $7,725 in EV tax credits, depending on their income.
