tesla s glendale collision center

Tesla has opened a new collision center in Glendale, Arizona, marking another step in the electric vehicle maker’s effort to expand its repair network. The facility is located near Luke Air Force Base within The Base, a seven-building industrial development complex.

The collision center’s location positions Tesla to serve the growing number of electric vehicles in the Glendale market. By placing the facility near a military installation, Tesla can potentially serve service members and their families who own the company’s vehicles. The Base development is owned by Phoenix-based ViaWest Group, which provided the industrial space for Tesla’s collision repair operations.

Tesla’s strategic placement near Luke Air Force Base expands service access for military families and Glendale’s growing EV community.

This expansion reflects Tesla’s commitment to building out its service infrastructure across the country. As more Tesla vehicles hit the roads, the need for specialized collision repair services has grown. Traditional body shops often lack the equipment and training needed to fix Tesla’s unique aluminum body panels and complex electrical systems. The Glendale facility is equipped with advanced technology for aluminum repairs and system calibrations to handle these specialized requirements.

The Glendale center isn’t Tesla’s only collision facility in development. The company is also building a 40,000-square-foot collision center in Nashville, Tennessee, located at 7256 Centennial Place. The Nashville facility has faced some permitting delays but construction appears to be moving forward. When completed, it’ll operate from 8am to 5pm, Monday through Friday.

These collision centers represent a significant investment in Tesla’s service capabilities. By controlling the repair process, Tesla can guarantee its vehicles are fixed properly and quickly. This approach challenges the traditional model where car manufacturers rely on independent body shops to handle collision repairs.

For Arizona Tesla owners, the new Glendale center means easier access to authorized repairs. Instead of searching for body shops willing to work on electric vehicles, customers can take their cars directly to a facility designed specifically for Tesla repairs.

The expansion of Tesla’s collision network comes as the company continues to increase vehicle production. More cars on the road mean more potential accidents and repairs. By building its own collision centers, Tesla intends to provide faster, more reliable service for its growing customer base.
